Business Development Manager, IT Recycling & Refurbished Technology

Salary: £40,000 to £50,000 + uncapped commission + package

Overview
A growing organisation within the IT recycling and circular technology space is looking to hire a commercially driven Business Development Manager to support the expansion of its refurbished IT trading function.
We are looking for someone with a background in the IT recycling or ITAD sector who understands both the supply and resale side of the market.
The Role
You will take ownership of developing both supply and demand channels, identifying profitable stock opportunities and securing reliable buyers.
This is a hands on commercial role combining business development, supplier engagement, negotiation and pipeline management.
Key Responsibilities
* Identify and win new B2B customers including corporates, public sector organisations, education and IT resellers
* Build and manage a strong, consistent sales pipeline
* Negotiate and close profitable trading agreements
* Align customer demand with available stock
* Represent the business at relevant industry events where appropriate
* Develop relationships with IT recycling businesses, ITAD providers, leasing companies and corporate IT teams
* Source commercially viable equipment for refurbishment and resale
* Negotiate pricing, volumes and margin targets
* Work closely with internal teams to align sourcing with processing capacity
* Track pricing trends and demand across refurbished IT markets
* Identify high value product lines and new opportunities
* Support revenue and margin growth through informed trading decisions
* Provide regular sales forecasts and pipeline updates
Candidate Profile
* Background in IT recycling, ITAD, hardware remarketing or refurbished IT trading
* Proven experience sourcing and selling used or refurbished IT equipment
* Strong network across suppliers and or buyers in the IT recycling space
* Experience trading within UK and ideally European markets
* Confident in negotiation and closing deals
Desirable
* Understanding of IT asset lifecycle services
* Exposure to public sector or framework agreements
* Familiarity with enterprise hardware brands such as Dell, HP and Lenovo
* Experience handling bulk asset transactions

* Base salary of £40,000 to £50,000 depending on experience
* Uncapped commission structure
