About the Role Our client is a forward-thinking, specialist subcontract machining company looking for an experienced CNC Sliding Head Setter to join their professional and growing team. This is a permanent position offering excellent development opportunities and a supportive, modern working environment. Key Responsibilities Set and operate CNC sliding head machines (Tornos Deco with TB Deco/Fanuc, Star Fanuc, Hanwha Fanuc). Complete Fanuc programming (Deco programming is an advantage). Produce high-quality precision components to tight tolerances. Carry out offsets, tooling changes, and basic changeovers. Read and interpret technical drawings accurately. Use measurement gauges and conduct in-process quality checks. Ensure machines and work areas are left clean, safe, and ready for the next operator. Safely leave machines running for the incoming 6:45am shift. Meet agreed standard production times. Work to customer specifications and maintain strong quality control. About You To be successful, you should have: Previous experience setting CNC sliding head machines (essential). Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team. A proactive attitude and willingness to meet deadlines. Pride in your work and a desire to succeed.
