About the Job Reporting to the Management Accountant and Senior Accounts Administrator, the Finance Admin Assistant will play a key role in supporting the finance function. This position is central to the efficient processing of purchase ledger activity, financial reporting, and ensuring strong communication between the finance team and the wider organisation. Duties will include: Processing invoices through the automated purchase system and reconciling supplier statements Managing bi-monthly payment runs and ensuring accurate coding of expenditure Handling finance queries via email and telephone in a professional manner Assisting with management accounts preparation and monthly reconciliations Maintaining accurate financial records and supporting audit requirements Ensuring all expenditure complies with financial authorisation procedures Supporting managers with finance queries and maintaining positive relationships between finance and operations Providing ad hoc support to the Management Accountant as required Your Skills & Experience Minimum 5 GCSEs (Grades AC), including English and Maths (essential) At least 12 months experience in an administrative office role with a finance focus (essential) Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines Excellent verbal and written communication abilities Proficient in Microsoft Excel and competent across Microsoft Office packages Positive attitude and strong work ethic Experience in an accountancy environment and knowledge of accounting systems such as Iplicit or Exchequer (desirable) For further information on this opportunity, or if you are considering the next step in your career, get in touch with Oliver Mairs at HireIQ in complete confidence.
