Trafford Music Service are seeking an experienced and inspiring Early Years leader to:
* Organise music events that target the engagement of children in the Early Years.
* Plan, promote and deliver music projects in schools in Trafford and external settings.
* Oversee and deliver the Rhyme and Chime sessions at the music centre.
* Provide high quality CPD to Early Years practitioners and model best practice.
This role offers the chance to influence and develop our Early Years service direction, champion high standards, and work collaboratively to support our passionate teaching team.
There may be an opportunity for the successful candidate to grow the role further and expand the teaching hours.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver music learning to groups or whole classes of children within Early Years educational settings.
* Maintain a degree in Music, Education or a closely related field.
Qualifications
* Significant experience of planning and delivering music learning to Early Years settings.
* Strong organisational ability, excellent communication, planning and delivery skills.
* Strong ICT skills and ability to meet deadlines.
* Love for Early Years and inspiring children to be musical.
Additional Information
The post is contracted on Teachers Pay and Conditions Unqualified Teacher Pay Scale 3-6 for 14 hours per week (0.51 FTE). The working hours are term time only. The successful candidate must be able to work on Wednesday mornings to oversee the Rhyme and Chime sessions at the Claremont Music Centre. All other working hours and days are negotiable during the school day, with flexibility to work from home where appropriate. The Music Service runs concerts once per term, usually on a Sunday; attendance is required. An enhanced DBS check with children/adults barred list check will be required.
