CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator

A well-established precision engineering manufacturer is seeking an experienced CNC Programmer / Setter / Operator to join a skilled and collaborative production team. Based at a modern manufacturing facility in the Stansted area, this role involves programming, setting, and operating CNC machinery, alongside production monitoring and quality control.
The successful candidate will be capable of taking an issued engineering drawing, programming the machine, setting it up, and running it through to completion, ensuring components are produced to specification.
The business operates Siemens controls, XYZ machines, and ONE CNC software. Prior experience with these systems is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities
CNC machine set-up and operation, including loading raw materials, tooling, and calibration
Interpretation of engineering drawings and technical documentation
Programming CNC milling and/or turning machines
Supervising machines during production and making necessary adjustments
Quality control inspection to ensure components meet specification
Maintaining accurate production and quality records
Adhering to health & safety procedures and maintaining a clean, organised work area
Required Experience
CNC milling and/or turning
CNC programming
Manual machining / engineering background
Ability to work independently from drawings
