Head of Business Development - Retail & E-Commerce

Location: Customer and Unipart locations globally, as required.

Contract Type: Permanent.

Hours: Full time.

Salary: £90,000 to £102,500 plus car / car allowance.

About the Job

As our Head of Business Development for Retail & E-Commerce, you will drive new business growth and profitability in the sector. This is a hunting role, responsible for direct selling and developing existing accounts both in the UK and internationally. You will ensure a competitive advantage through robust commercial arrangements. Your key responsibilities include:

* Prospecting, hunting, and developing targets through to tender and business wins to meet or exceed targets.
* Developing strong relationships with all key stakeholders to support success.
* Supporting the development of sector growth strategies and implementing business development plans.
* Collaborating with marketing on initiatives, social media, events, and industry engagement.
* Representing Unipart actively in social media, podcasts, blogs, and videos to promote the brand.
* Attending and leading sector events to generate leads and ensure ROI.
* Leading tender responses, negotiations, and maintaining strong customer relations.
* Fostering a culture of open communication, responsibility, and accountability.
* Using CRM tools like Hubspot to track performance and report results.


About You

We’re looking for candidates with:

* Proven sales expertise in Retail and E-Commerce, especially in supply chain solutions.
* Ability to sell end-to-end supply chain, field engineering, and Circular Economy solutions.
* Strong sector understanding and trustworthiness.
* Leadership qualities with clear objectives, adaptable communication style, and excellent presentation skills.
