What You'll Be Doing As a Roamer/Tramper HGV Driver, you'll be an essential part of our nationwide operation: Collecting and delivering vehicles of all shapes and sizes, predominantly accident-damaged, using our modern salvage transporters. Supporting multiple Operation Centres (with your home base in St Helens ) - covering for holidays and periods of peak demand. Staying out 3-4 nights per week (with overnight allowance included). Carrying out vehicle checks, inspections, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This is a hands-on role that requires physical activity and a keen eye for detail - but in return, you'll enjoy a rewarding career with a market leader. What we need from you: It's essential that you possess an HGV/LGV Licence, Class 1 Current CPC A good understanding of the EC Drivers Hours and Working Time regulations using a tachograph Driving experience in both rural and urban environments Great communication skills, both written and verbal Excellent customer service skills Flexibility Strong attention to detail Confident in the use of handheld devices, with experience in the use of basic IT applications Adaptable, with the ability to organise and adjust your working day Car transportation or recovery experience would be an advantage, but isn't essential.
