Salary: Circa £80,000 per annum Contract: Permanent, Full-Time The Opportunity A global semiconductor design organisation is seeking a Digital IC Design Engineer to join its growing engineering team in Hampshire (near Southampton). This role sits within a highly experienced digital design group developing production silicon across advanced power, mixed-signal, and SoC platforms. You’ll work on end-to-end digital IC design and development, collaborating closely with verification, physical design, and system teams to deliver high-quality, manufacturable silicon used in automotive, industrial, IoT, and data-centric applications. This is a technically hands-on role within a structured, best-practice-driven engineering environment, offering long-term career progression and exposure to complex, real-world products. Key Responsibilities Digital IC / ASIC design from architecture and specification through to tape-out RTL development (Verilog / SystemVerilog) for complex digital blocks and SoCs Collaboration with verification teams on functional coverage and design closure Support synthesis, timing closure, and design sign-off activities Work closely with physical design teams to ensure robust, manufacturable implementations Support silicon bring-up, debug, and subsequent revisions Required Experience Strong background in Digital IC / ASIC Design Proven RTL development experience (Verilog or SystemVerilog) Solid understanding of clocking, reset strategies, low-power design, and timing concepts Experience working in multi-disciplinary semiconductor design teams Familiarity with industry-standard EDA tools and modern digital design flows Ability to work on-site in Hampshire (hybrid flexibility may be available) Why Join?
