Accountabilities: How You Will Make an Impact

We are looking for Engineers who are passionate about the environment and want to help create a low‑carbon future. People who thrive in a specialised consultancy where everyone supports them to consolidate knowledge, get involved and collaborate in meaningful projects from the get-go.

As part of our team, you will work with clients, visit nuclear power stations and be involved in the growth of fusion energy research projects such as JET, ITER, MAST, STEP and DEMO.

Our team is trusted by clients to help them create, maintain safer, stronger and more efficient assets. You will work on a variety of projects across stress analysis, fracture assessment and finite element analysis of existing AGR and PWR nuclear power stations and the development of new EPR nuclear power stations.

* Responsible for project management and delivery, complying with clients’ specifications and working with the project manager to ensure cost, time and performance indicators are met.
* Maintain compliance with engineering standards and applicable legislation.
* Continuous communication, liaison and cooperation with clients, providing regular updates on progress and performance.
* Ensure the confidentiality and security of data and information received from clients.
* Ensure the requirements of the Health & Safety at Work Act are understood and complied with.
* Maintain an open line of communication with the project manager to align objectives and ensure every project is delivered on time and on budget.
* Maintain and promote strong work ethics and discipline.
* Ensure a consistent approach to project management and reporting towards our clients.
* Promote collaboration with colleagues and clients.


What You Need To Succeed

Degree qualified or equivalent (e.g., HNC/HND with significant experience) in a relevant engineering discipline with extensive design experience.

Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience and/or transferable skills. Demonstrable experience in the nuclear industry would be a plus.

Extensive knowledge of modelling and analysis of mechanical components and assemblies.

Knowledge of FEA and computer-aided engineering software such as ABAQUS and COMSOL.

Detailed knowledge of national and international codes, specifications and standards.

Experience in developing designs against Safety Case requirements and Engineering Design Safety Principles.

Willingness to work for a variety of clients and at client premises as required.
