Job Description
We are looking for someone who can confidently support health and safety management, asset tracking through ToolSense, Time & Attendance administration, first aid provision, and training compliance.
The Assistant Manager will also provide regular cover for the Contract Support Manager and assist with recruitment, reporting, and wider administrative responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the effective day-to-day delivery of contract operations and act as an escalation point in the Contract Support Manager’s absence.
2. Assist with workload planning, staff deployment, and resource allocation.
3. Monitor health & safety compliance, conduct inspections, support risk assessments, and promote a strong safety culture.
4. Maintain accurate asset records within ToolSense, ensuring all inspections, maintenance logs, and reports are up to date.
5. Carry out First Aider responsibilities, including incident response, reporting, and maintaining first aid equipment.
6. Oversee the Time & Attendance system, ensuring accurate clocking data, investigating anomalies, and supporting payroll accuracy.
7. Maintain up-to-date training records, coordinate training and induction sessions, and prepare training compliance reports.
8. Provide managerial cover and support with audits, reporting, KPI tracking, recruitment, onboarding, and general administrative duties.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
9. Experience in an operational, coordination, or supervisory role.
10. Understanding of health and safety requirements.
11. Strong IT skills, ideally including asset management or T&A systems.
12. Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
13. First Aid certification (or willingness to train).
14. Ability to work independently with proactive decision-making.
15. Proactive, dependable, and committed to high performance.
16. Strong attention to detail and organisational capability.
