Procurement Partner
DSFS has an exciting opportunity for the role of Procurement Partner.
The role supports the Head of Procurement and is part of the Senior Leadership Team. As a senior member, the Procurement Partner will coordinate and manage the buying team performance; provide leadership and supervision to enable the delivery of a best‑in‑class procurement service, while developing a strong culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
* Coordinate and manage the buying team performance; provide leadership and supervision to deliver a best‑in‑class procurement service, fostering teamwork and continuous improvement.
* Provide strategic and operational support to plan, coordinate and deliver across medium‑high‑value workplans; maintain contract databases to produce high‑quality management data.
* Undertake competitive tender exercises, supporting customers with the writing of Specifications and Business Cases, drafting ITT documentation, undertaking evaluations, tender awards and facilitating effective contract management.
* Develop and implement innovative ways to procure goods & services to deliver efficiencies and cost savings, contributing to the departmental CIP target.
* Proactively undertake market engagement and market analysis to keep abreast of market shifts, trends, product development and innovation.
* Network and collaborate with peers across Derbyshire and East Midlands to benchmark costs, leverage opportunities and ensure optimum value for money and continual improvement.
Key Qualifications
* Significant experience working within the public sector, preferably within the NHS, with demonstrable and practical working knowledge of public sector procurement legislation and regulations.
* Excellent organisational skills and confidence to work across diverse specialties and clinical and non‑clinical categories.
* Ability to develop robust working relationships with key stakeholders and network with peers across Derbyshire and East Midlands.
