Head of Group Reporting

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an accomplished finance leader to join a dynamic Listed Media company in Central London as Head of Group Reporting. This pivotal role will lead the Group’s accounting and reporting functions, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of consolidated financial results while driving continuous improvement and supporting strategic decision-making across the business. This role offers the opportunity for promotion in the near future for the right candidate
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the Group’s month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting cycles, delivering high-quality consolidated financial statements.
* Oversee compliance with IFRS, UK GAAP, and relevant regulatory and internal control frameworks (including SOX).
* Manage relationships with internal and external auditors, ensuring smooth and timely audits across all entities.
* Partner closely with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and other finance teams to align reporting with business strategy.
* Develop, coach, and inspire a high-performing accounting and reporting team.
* Drive process improvement and automation initiatives to enhance reporting accuracy and efficiency.
* Provide technical accounting guidance to senior stakeholders and monitor new standards and their impact.
* Support strategic projects including M&A activity, system implementations, and organisational transformation.
About You
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) with substantial post-qualification experience in group reporting and consolidation.
* You will have trained within an audit firm and have experience of working in a group reporting role within industry (candidates looking to move straight out of audit/practice unfortunately won't be considered)
* Background in a complex, multinational environment with a strong understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP.
* Proven experience leading teams and managing external audits
* Excellent communicator with strong analytical and commercial acumen.
* Hands-on, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving business.
