Brief Description
This role sits within the W2BC Stalybridge to Huddersfield project in TRU Central. You will be a member of the Rail Systems project management team, working in accordance with the Project Acceleration in a Controlled Environment (PACE) Framework, Railway Group, Network Rail's company standards, and all current applicable legislation including CDM Regulations. You will work closely with engineering, planning, commercial and supply chain partners to support the development of design to cost, schedule and quality. W2BC is currently at ES4 Approval in Principle stage but offers development opportunity for the successful candidate to see the project through detailed design, construction and beyond.
About the role (External)
Some of the key accountabilities of this role are:
1. Work as part of a project team, assisting to deliver projects to time, cost and quality through various phases in a safe and environmentally responsible manner.
2. Monitor and report programme and progress in accordance with project reporting systems and guidelines.
3. Develop and integrate, effective support systems to enable the Project Manager to manage and control change.
4. Process contractor possession and isolation applications so that they applications are complete and submitted to the prescribed time scales as directed.
5. Monitor contractor performance indicators and provide input to periodic progress reporting.
6. Support the Project Management team in providing a safe working environment at all times during the execution of those projects under their responsibility.
7. Manage and report on efficiencies initiatives and help identify and embed lessons learnt into the project.
We need you to have:
• Some management experience including project management.
• Educated to HND/HNC or similar standard.
• HSQE awareness, issues and principles.
It would be advantageous if you have:
• Attained (or working towards) the Association for Project Management (APM) Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ).
• A degree or equivalent.
• Knowledge of safety, quality, environmental, commercial and financial aspects.
• Understanding of possession planning.
