About the Role:
Connex Education are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join a specialist secondary school in Hartlepool for a part-time role- Mondays/Tuesdays. The provision provides education for young people aged 11-16 with a range of special educational needs, including SEMH, autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
You will be responsible for delivering engaging science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, adapting your teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of our students. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people who benefit from specialist support and smaller class sizes.

Assignment Details:
* Plan and deliver differentiated science lessons across biology, chemistry, and physics
* Develop individualised learning programmes to support students with varying needs
* Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and support staff
* Maintain accurate records of student progress and contribute to reviews
* Support students in achieving their potential through alternative qualifications and pathways
* Contribute to the school's positive behaviour management approach

As a successful SEND Teacher with Connex Education Partnership, you will possess:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
* Degree in Science or related subject
* Experience teaching science at secondary level
* Understanding of special educational needs and inclusive teaching practices
* Strong behaviour management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare
* Experience working with students with SEN
* Knowledge of alternative qualifications (Entry Level, Functional Skills)
* Additional training in autism or ADHD support
* Experience with sensory learning approaches
