We are now looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team.
Your Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you’ll be a key part of our pupils’ journey - supporting their learning, wellbeing, and personal development in a safe and nurturing environment.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Supporting pupils with learning activities and care needs
2. Promoting independence and positive behaviour
3. Building warm, trusting relationships that help pupils feel safe and valued
4. Assisting teachers in delivering a broad, balanced, and engaging curriculum
5. Adapting to the varied needs of pupils and being flexible in your approach
Skills and Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is:
6. Compassionate, enthusiastic, and child-focused
7. Flexible and ready to support wherever needed
8. Committed to safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
Essential:
9. GCSEs in Maths and English (Grade C/Level 3 or above)
10. Experience working with SEN (paid or voluntary)
11. Understanding of safeguarding and child protection
Desirable:
12. Level 2+ qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning
13. Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
14. Knowledge of SEN, SEMH, or ASD
