Wood is recruiting for a Support Services Administrative Assistant to join the team in Hull on a 12 month fixed term contract. Reports to - Support Services Manager Main Purpose of Job: Provides administrative and office support, to facilitate the efficient operation of gas storage sites.
Key Accountabilities:
1. Provide efficient and effective administration and office support to the site teams.
2. Undertake other administrative duties as required by your line Manager or the Gas storage Leadership Team
Decision Making Authority
Outline the most important decisions typically expected to be taken.
3. Prioritization of tasks to ensure deadlines and objectives are met.
4. Which issues to escalate to line manager for consideration and when?
Outline the most important recommendations expected to be made for others to decide on
5. Identify and suggest potential improvements to task or processes.
6. Recommend solutions to resolve issues which are referred to manager.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
Business Knowledge:
7. Awareness of SSE’s activities and objectives
8. Knowledge of relevant company procedures and systems, specifically for finance, IT, personnel, and training
Essential Functional / Technical Skills:
9. Experience of providing administrative support to a business.
10. 5 or more A-C grade GCSE’s
11. Knowledge of business and technical English, punctuation, and spelling
12. Knowledge of IT program's including
13. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes.
14. Finance IT systems.
15. Good administrative, oral, and written communication skills
