Overview
Lead and coordinate the delivery of high-quality administrative and technical support to frontline services (including Waste, Clean & Green, and Highways) ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and compliance with all legislative requirements.
Responsibilities
* Be proactive in highlighting and implementing opportunities to enhance operational efficiency or streamline processes using technical resources available.
* Monitor, analyse and report on key performance indicators across service areas, providing clear insights that support informed decision-making.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge on current projects in order to provide first line advice or information on processes and/or liaise with officers for technical knowledge.
* Manage and track correspondence, including Complaints, Member Enquiries, MP Enquiries and FOI requests received by the Service, ensuring responses are timely, consistent and of a high standard.
* Support staff development, proactively planning and monitoring team members' training needs; mentor, motivate and guide the team to maintain high performance and enable colleagues to reach their full potential.
* Maintain a good level of knowledge and expertise in relation to relevant legislation, government guidance, procedures and best practise in relation to process, policies and advice.
* Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required within this post to support the operational needs of the service area and Council.

* You will require strong leadership abilities, with the capability to motivate, develop and support your team.
* Effective communication skills are essential, enabling you to provide clear guidance and build positive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
* You should be able to identify opportunities to improve processes and confidently use digital tools and systems to enhance efficiency.
* Excellent organisational and time-management skills are required, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
* You will also need to be confident in analysing data, monitoring performance and producing clear, accurate reports.

Working hours and DBS
The service operates from 8:00am to 17:00pm Monday to Friday.
