<div><h3>About the Role</h3><p>People Business Partner for the Energy Infrastructure team, based in Warrington with regular travel to other sites. The role involves working closely with business leaders and line managers to build capabilities, plan and manage talent, and develop approaches that achieve shared organisational objectives.</p><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><ul><li>Act as a trusted partner to the Pillar Managing Director and Senior Leadership team, providing guidance on people practices and employee‑related issues.</li><li>Lead and coordinate TUPE (Transfer of Undertakings Protection of Employment) consultations and transfers, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and minimizing risk.</li><li>Partner with business leaders to identify current and future skills requirements aligned with business strategy.</li><li>Use data‑driven insights to guide talent development, succession planning, and workforce planning.</li><li>Provide guidance on people practices such as restructures and succession planning.</li><li>Serve as a local point of people expertise for specialist teams implementing new people approaches.</li><li>Support the pillar management teams to ensure employees have the skills and resources needed to achieve objectives.</li><li>Develop plans for recruitment, training, restructuring and succession, supporting staff to implement these plans.</li><li>Coach line managers on motivating employees and leading more effectively.</li><li>Analyse human resource metrics and compare results to key performance indicators.</li><li>Resolve complex employee relations issues, addressing grievances in consultation.</li><li>Provide leadership and guidance on the people aspects of change management.</li><li>Champion the EDI agenda.</li><li>Assist with the roll‑out of training specific to people practices.</li><li>Provide guidance to the pillar on United Infrastructure people policies.</li></ul><h3>Qualifications & Experience</h3><ul><li>CIPD Level 7 or proven HR experience at Business Partner level, including generalist HR.</li><li>Solid grasp of current UK employment law and the ability to apply this in employee relations cases.</li><li>Knowledge and experience of TUPE, settlement negotiation and managing redundancy campaigns.</li><li>Ability to challenge constructively, exercising diplomacy and tact where required.</li><li>Excellent problem‑solving, stakeholder management, communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.</li><li>Strong data interpretation skills and the ability to work accurately with excellent attention to detail.</li><li>High level of discretion and confidentiality.</li><li>Flexibility and ability to prioritise workloads effectively.</li><li>Good understanding of the disciplines within HR, including diversity and inclusion, performance management, compensation and benefits, talent management, employee and union relations, etc.</li></ul><h3>Benefits</h3><ul><li>26 days holidays plus bank holidays.</li><li>Car allowance.</li><li>Opportunity to purchase additional holidays upon successful completion of probation.</li><li>Health cash plan.</li><li>Pension scheme.</li><li>Medicash.</li></ul><h3>Equal Opportunities Statement</h3><p>United Infrastructure is committed to making every interaction a positive and inclusive experience.
