Senior Pharmacy Technician – Medicines Management
Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated and proactive pharmacy technician to join our ward-level clinical team. The role offers an exciting opportunity to work across a variety of clinical specialities, supporting patients and the multidisciplinary team in delivering high-quality medicines service.
Responsibilities
* Conduct drug history taking and patient counselling at the point of care.
* Co‑ordinate the supply of discharge medication from wards and ensure accurate medication reconciliation.
* Audit and contribute to continuous improvement projects focused on medicines optimisation.
* Assist in the training and development of multi‑disciplinary team members in medicines management issues.
* Work collaboratively with the Clinical Pharmacist to maximise medicines optimisation and provide patient‑focused care.
Qualifications & Experience
* Community pharmacy experience or other pharmacy practice experience is welcomed.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient‑focused approach.
* Ability to work accurately under pressure and manage/ prioritise workload efficiently.
