Overview //
Embers is a small plates restaurant tucked away in the South Laines of Brighton. Cooking primarily on woodfire & charcoal, it burst onto the Brighton food scene last year and has already secured a place in the Michelin Guide, Brighton's Best Restaurants Top 30 and a top 10 placement in the Bravo Awards Best Restaurant.
We are seeking a skilled & personable Restaurant Manager to lead our close-knit Front of House team. Giving excellent hospitality is a cornerstone of what we do at Embers, so the ideal candidate will have a passion for this, along with the organisational and interpersonal skills needed to effectively manage a small team of professionals.
Alongside this, you'll need a good food & beverage skill base, alongside the drive to excel and to push yourself to be the best that you can be. We are a fast paced restaurant, so this drive is key to ensuring you are the correct fit, both for yourself and for us.
You will be working alongside our GM Benjamin Arthur, and will be taught everything you need to know to achieve the above. From rotas to menus, booking system management to customer emails, this will be a great step in your hospitality career.
Key Duties //
* Effectively manage a team of FoH professionals
* Host in the restaurant in most services
* Ensure 'the doors always open', via managing the day to day operations of the FoH
* Look after our info@ customer email, alongside our booking system
* Ensure high standards in hospitality, food and beverages
* Adhere to health and safety standards
* Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain a smooth workflow
Qualifications //
* Proven experience working at at least restaurant supervisor level
* Proficient in cocktail preparation techniques, wine knowledge and beverage presentation
* Knowledge of food safety practices and procedures
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced FoH environment
* Strong hospitality skills with a focus on warmth and consistency
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
