Children’s Care Home Manager Location: Lancaster United Kingdom Salary: £45,000 – £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience and qualifications), plus bonuses Contract: Full-time, Permanent Hours: 40 hours per week, with on-call responsibilities Are you a passionate and experienced professional with a commitment to making a lasting difference in the lives of vulnerable children and young people? We are seeking a dedicated Children’s Care Home Manager to lead and manage a residential home providing high-quality, for children aged 5 – up till their 18th birthday with emotional and behavioural needs. About the Role: As the Registered Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, operational management, and regulatory compliance of the home. You’ll create a safe, nurturing environment that supports positive outcomes and promotes the wellbeing, development, and independence of every child in your care. ✨ Key Responsibilities: • Lead, manage, and develop a team of residential support workers • Ensure the home meets all Ofsted requirements and achieves “Good” or “Outstanding” ratings • Deliver a child-centred approach in line with care plans and safeguarding policies • Manage budgets and resources effectively • Build positive relationships with families, professionals, and external agencies • Support staff training, development, and supervision • Liaising with local authorities, Social Workers etc ✅ Requirements: • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) • Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a residential childcare setting, with 1 year in a supervisory/management role • Strong understanding of children’s safeguarding legislation and care standards • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo one) What We Offer: • Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses • Comprehensive induction and ongoing professional development • Supportive leadership and working environment • Generous annual leave • Pension scheme
