Streetcare Driving Skilled Operative (Non HGV)
Job description
We are currently seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Streetcare Driving Skilled Operative (Non HGV) within the Highways and Drainage Services team.
As a Streetcare Driving Skilled Operative (Non HGV) you will be responsible for carrying out highway maintenance works as designated by your Supervising Officer and Team Leader
Your daily routine will include:
1. The Coordination of the daily work tasks for the team.
2. Responsible for team vehicle and security of allocated plant/equipment, or alternatively responsible for allocated vehicle e.g. tipper
3. Minor pothole filling and highway repairs.
4. Laying bitumen materials
5. Use of small mechanical plant, e.g., breakers, disc cutters wacker plates (Give a brief outline of the most regular tasks involved in a routine day. Use no more than 6 and do not mention things done on exception).
About you:
You will have:
6. Experience of undertaking highway defect repairs
7. The ability to successfully work as part of a team
8. A good understanding of Health & Safety requirements
9. A good understanding of relevant plant & machinery
