Location : Waltham Cross, Herts Salary : Competitive Shift Pattern: Any 5 over 7 (including Saturdays and Bank Holidays) Hours : 7pm 4am (45 hours per week) About the Role We have an exciting opportunity for a Night Distribution Co-ordinator to join our Distribution/Transport Department at our National Distribution Centre in Waltham Cross. The role will support the Distribution Shift Manager with the planning and coordination of night operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and excellent service levels. This includes deployment planning up to 23 weeks in advance, managing any required amendments, and maintaining smooth day-to-day logistics performance. What Youll Be Doing Assisting in the planning and deployment of staff, ensuring adequate coverage and flexibility for shifts. Managing operational performance, including service levels, complaints, shortages, and backhaul activities. Updating delivery instructions with real-time information and ensuring drivers are fully briefed and competent on all updates. Maintaining and controlling the customer key and alarm code process. Supporting the team in planning and coordination challenges, assisting in the retention and development of Drivers and TDA trainees. Monitoring weekly team performance including route knowledge, absence, lateness, accidents, vehicle cleanliness, paperwork accuracy, and employee standards. Using the Transport Management System (TMS) to confirm delivery windows, obtain signatures/photos, and record accurate delivery times. What Were Looking For A confident relationship builder with strong communication skills and the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Previous experience in a transport, logistics, or distribution coordination role. IT proficient, with intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
