Your responsibilities:
* Support CAD development, interface definition, and packaging studies.
* Own the delivery of seating systems to program milestones (eg, VP, Job 1).
* Track engineering release schedules, cost targets, and weight metrics.
* Coordinate with suppliers to manage tooling, prototype builds, and part approvals.
* Support comfort assessments, occupant safety evaluations, and durability testing.
* Drive resolution of technical issues through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
* Benchmark competitor seating systems and contribute to future feature strategy.
* Interface with Vehicle Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Studio Design teams.
* Chair seating attribute reviews and negotiate trade-offs across functions.
* Ensure alignment with global regulatory standards and customer expectations.
* Manage the cost and weight of the system as per vehicle target.
Your Profile
Essential skills/knowledge/experience:
* Expertise in seating system development or interior component engineering.
* Strong understanding of materials, mechanisms, and occupant comfort principles
* Proficiency in CAD tools (CATIA V5/V6) and PLM systems.
