Senior Mechanical Commissioning Engineer
Job Title: Senior Commissioning Engineer - Mechanical (Ships)

Salary: Up to £42,000 dependent on experience.
What you'll be doing:
* Carry out routine work with limited supervision, understanding safety implications in a high-risk environment.
* Liaise with stakeholders such as Engineering, Royal Navy, MoD, and Build Operations to ensure safe and compliant activities.
* Instruct and mentor less experienced team members.
* Research, review, and interrogate technical design documentation and drawings; create Test Documentation.
* Maintain accurate records of work activities as per policy, procedure, and regulation.
* Represent the company during Factory Acceptance Tests, offsite test facilities, Contractors Sea Trials, and other outworking requirements (including overseas travel).
* Deliver activities in line with company policies, procedures, and legislation.
* Manage Testing and Commissioning of onboard mechanical systems.
Your skills and experiences:
* Knowledge of mechanical systems operation, especially hydraulic, pressurized air and gas, domestic and chilled water, and tank testing.
* Experience in commissioning complex systems and plants.
* Knowledge of test equipment and testing activities.
* Understanding of Mechanical Flushing, Pressure & Endurance Testing, and system setup.
* Ability to write and issue Rip Out documentation, including correct isolations for safe system shutdowns.
* HNC in Mechanical Engineering is desirable.
