Would you like to develop a high level of skill and expertise to help people living with health problems, supported by a friendly and experienced team?
We are looking for a newly or recently qualified Clinical Psychologist to develop into a confident practitioner in Clinical Health and Neuropsychology. The successful candidate will gain expertise across various health conditions and neurological presentations, including functional neurological disorders.
You should be motivated to work psychologically in medical settings, comfortable working both in teams and individually. Experience with clients in hospital settings, psychological assessment, formulation in healthcare, and delivering neuropsychological interventions would be advantageous.
The post is based at The Old Chapel within a friendly Department of Psychological Medicine, with potential travel across sites. We support flexible and hybrid working, including some home working.
Main duties of the job
This role involves direct clinical work—providing individual patient input, advising and consulting with MDT colleagues, and contributing to research, teaching, and other duties.
As part of the department, you will contribute to transforming psychological care delivery, including staff training and group programs for patients.

Person specification
Education, Qualifications and Training
* Post-graduate doctoral training in clinical psychology, or about to qualify, including models of psychopathology, psychometrics, neuropsychology, and at least two accredited psychological therapies.
* Pre-qualification training in research methodology and applied psychology fields.
Experience and Knowledge
* Experience in psychological assessment and treatment across care settings.
* Experience with diverse patient groups and managing highly emotive situations.
* Experience in teaching, training, and supervision.
* Experience working with Clinical Health populations.
Skills and Attributes
* Skills in complex psychological assessments, interventions, and management.
* Consultation skills for professional and non-professional groups.
* Ability to teach using multimedia and present in various settings.
* Mechanisms of clinical governance to support practice under challenging conditions.
