MS Dynamics 365 - BC / Shopify Engineer
Rate - £475 - £500 Outside IR35
Duration - 3 months
Location - Fully remote
We're seeking a Business Central and Shopify Support Engineer to join a client of ours growing at a substantial rate! This role bridges ERP and e-commerce platforms, ensuring seamless integration, smooth operations and excellent support for our business users. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, problem solving skills and a customer focused mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and Shopify platforms
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to system integration's, data synchronisation and workflows
Liaise with support partners for issues that require 2nd/ 3rd line support and coordinate activities between partners where required
Collaborate with internal teams to analyse business requirements and implement solutions
Monitor system performance and proactively identify areas for improvement
Assist with configuration, customisation and updates to Business Central and Shopify
Document support cases, resolutions and best practices for knowledge sharing
Train and guide end-users on system functionality and best practices
Work closely with developers and vendors to escalate and resolve complex issues
Required Skills & Qualifications
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (ERP modules, finance, inventory, sales)
Experience with Shopify (Avalara, store setup, apps, themes, POS, APIs)
Understanding of integration tools and middleware (e.g., BC to Shopify connector, APIs, EDI)
Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data analysis for troubleshooting and reporting
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users
Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate)
Familiarity with e-commerce workflows (order management, fulfilment, payments)
Knowledge of Azure services or other cloud-based environments
Previous experience in a support engineer or application specialist role
