More about your role As Group Sales, Marketing & Customer Experience Director (Developments) at Places for People, you will lead the charge in delivering our Drive to Thrive – a commitment to sustainable growth, customer excellence, and long-term value creation. This role is about more than hitting targets; it is about shaping and embedding a unified, customer-centric sales and marketing strategy that enhances the full residential journey, from lead through to post-completion care. Working within a matrixed structure, you will collaborate closely with central Marketing and Communications, ensuring campaigns are insight-driven, locally informed, and commercially focused. You will standardise processes, elevate the customer experience, and maximise asset value across our Developments business, all while aligning sales performance with our wider vision for thriving communities. By championing innovation, refining systems like Salesforce, and coaching high-performing teams, you will create a seamless, data-informed lead-to-sale pipeline that drives both profit and purpose. This is a key leadership role for someone with the credibility, creativity, and commercial acumen to inspire performance and embed lasting impact across our regions. More about you You are a strategic and commercially minded leader with a proven track record in Sales, Marketing, and Customer Experience at a senior level within the Housing or Development Industry. You thrive on performance, but are equally passionate about building high-performing, motivated teams and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You understand how to balance data-led decision-making with creativity, and you are confident navigating complex, matrixed organisations. Your ability to engage, influence and collaborate across a wide range of stakeholders sets you apart, and you bring a strong customer focus to everything you do — not just delivering results, but doing so in a way that enhances brand trust, team capability and long-term value.
