About the Role: As a Primary TA, you will work closely with class teachers to provide high-quality support for students across the primary age range, including EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2. You will help deliver engaging learning experiences, support students with varying abilities, and contribute to a positive and inclusive classroom environment. Primary TA Responsibilities: Support the class teacher in planning and delivering high-quality learning activities across the primary age range (EYFS to KS2). Provide targeted support to individual students and small groups, adapting strategies to meet varying learning needs. Assist in managing student behaviour by implementing consistent and positive behaviour strategies. Prepare, organise, and maintain teaching resources and classroom displays to enhance the learning environment. Support the social, emotional, and academic development of students, including those with additional needs. Uphold school policies and promote a safe, respectful, and engaging atmosphere for all learners. Candidate Requirements for the role Primary TA: A relevant qualification such as CACHE Level 2/3 in Teaching Assistance or Childcare is preferred but not essential. Experience working with children in a primary school or educational setting as a Primary TA is desirable. A strong understanding of child development and the primary curriculum across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2 is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage tasks independently and as part of a team. An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one) and an up-to-date CV.
