Van Driver - TEMP
Location: Tonbridge
Shift: 0700-1600hrs
Pay: £13.18 per hour (min 8hrs/day)
Start: ASAP (early April)
Contract: Temp / Ad Hoc
The Role
We’re recruiting an experienced and reliable Van Driver to complete daily merchant deliveries for a well‑known local supplier. This is a hands‑on delivery role, ideal for someone confident with multi‑drop routes and customer‑facing work.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Completing 6–15 drops per day to various builders’ merchants, trade counters, and construction sites
* Loading your vehicle safely and correctly
* Delivering goods professionally and on time
* Providing excellent customer service at every drop
* Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks
* Completing any required paperwork or handheld‑device logs
Requirements
* Full UK Driving Licence (Category B)
* No more than 6 penalty points (no DR/IN endorsements)
* Previous van or multi‑drop experience preferred
* Physically fit and comfortable loading/unloading
* Strong communication and customer‑service skills
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
