Role Details
* Annual salary up to £43,000 – £52,000 dependent on skills and experience, plus an annual on target bonus of 5%.
* Location: New Lane, Huntington, York (Head Office) – you must live within 1 hour of York.
* Contract type: Permanent.
* Eligible to join Private Medical Scheme.
* Annual leave: 25 days per annum plus bank holidays and the opportunity to buy an additional 5 days each year.
Responsibilities
* Design, implement and ensure effective collation of data and details for timely and accurate tracking and reporting of procurement objectives and deliverables across all aspects of sourcing, procurement, and contract management.
* Assist with developing an efficient and ethical supply chain, ensuring a robust, sustainable and cost‑effective supply base across all categories.
* Deliver key projects with cross‑functional teams whilst embedding processes and practices across the team and into the wider stakeholder community.
* Develop and maintain a high level of market intelligence.
* Deliver the best quality at the best price, staying up to date with market trends and challenges, mitigating business risks.
* Optimise inventories, improve storage, workflows and processes to reduce costs.
* Lead and complete continuous improvement projects to reduce costs.

Our Ideal Candidate
* Qualified to degree level (or above) or equivalent combined education and work experience.
* Previous experience as an Indirect Procurement Category Manager.
* Extensive knowledge relevant to the job and field.
* Good analytical skills, able to build sound relationships, in‑depth knowledge of the company’s operating model and strong knowledge of contracting principles and practices.
* Skills: Procurement Management, Communication, Negotiation, Supplier Management, Market Research, Budget Management, Inventory Management, Contract Management, Risk Management, Financial Acumen.
