Overview
You will provide technical leadership to deliver new smart connected products and services enabled by Industry 4.0 technology including IIoT, machine learning and more, integrated with traditional enterprise level and on-premise operational systems including Field Service and Asset Management tools through to PLC and SCADA.
You will drive delivery of next generation IoT Connected Services using complimentary Azure public cloud native services.
You will drive the evolution of DevOps responsible for IoT Connected Services.
You will provide operational support together with IoT implementation partner(s).
You will work in a mixture of hands-on and collaborative ways with internal team members and 3rd parties to progress our Connected Services application design and development through agile working practices.
You will work closely with internal and outsourced partners and resources.
Role Responsibilities
* Develop and release IoT enabled Connected products and systems in collaboration with internal product owner teams and delivery teams.
* Develop technical solutions to meet architecture and design goals.
* Work with the Product Owner and Delivery Lead to meet Sprint goals on time and to quality standards.
* IoT Edge & Software – contribute to the selection and ongoing management of IoT hardware and software.
* IoT platform – contribute to IoT application design and implementation through release.
* Customer On-boarding – assist the sales and technical teams with the customer’s technical teams to define and implement on-site IoT connectivity from devices to the IoT Edge device.
* BAU Maintenance and Support – work with the Connected Services Operations Manager to provide level 3 incident support to operate the digital solutions and meet customer support goals.
Qualifications & Experience
* Senior Software Engineer on the IoT or related technologies (IoT, M2M, Smart Products or Connected Device) with experience delivering IoT-enabled service offerings in a commercial environment for multiple customers on a single platform.
* Experience with various IoT functionality including connectivity, security, provisioning, device management, data ingestion, real-time processing, analytics, edge and end devices, data off-loading, and integration with external systems including IAM, BI, AI/ML, billing and CRM.
* Experience developing/working with steam or fluid process system applications is a plus.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical/engineering discipline or related experience.
* Proficient in Microsoft Azure IoT Hub and related IoT services (Time Series Insight, Power BI, AI/ML).
* Proficient in C#, web technologies (e.g., React), and database technologies.
* Skills in API development, integration, and performance optimization.
* Strong DevOps focus with experience building and deploying infrastructure using cloud deployment technologies.
* Experience working with Agile methodology in cross-functional teams.
