Seven Social Care is looking for a qualified Childrens Social Worker, Safeguarding Team to fill an exclusive opportunity specialising in the wellbeing of children across Truro, Cornwall.
The role:
The role of a Childrens Social Worker is a key position that brings together the needs of children, the support and management of carers, liaison with the placing authority and the administration and delivery of the service.
The Pay:- £32.00 per hour
Key Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the day to day management of your assigned cases intervening with legal and procedural authority to protect vulnerable people at risk of abuse or neglect.
You will undertake evidence based assessments of individuals and their carers’ needs dealing in particular with the more complex cases presented, undertaking risk assessments.
Safeguarding children at risk is central to your role.
As part of the team you will be expected to work on the duty rota when needed.
As a professionally qualified Social Worker you will have responsibility for managing your individual caseload, taking into account the needs of service users and ensuring effective use of time and resources.
As your skills and experience develop you will be expected to work with greater autonomy and with more complex cases although support will be readily available where needed. You will also be expected to pass on your expertise via mentoring and support to colleagues and students.
Applicant Requirements:
* Qualifications: Social Work Degree approved by the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
* Experience: 2+ years working with children as a qualified Social Worker in the UK.
* Compliance: Up to date HCPC registration and DBS.
* Travel: Clean UK driving license with the ability to commute to and from work independently.
* Hours: 37.5 hours p/w.
