Role: Contract Business Analyst
Domain: Fintech (Cards & Payments)
Day rate: £500/d (outside IR35)
Location: London
Contract: 2 months (initial backfill while hiring perm lead)
X4 Technology are partnered with a high-growth fintech in the card and payment space, entering a key transformation phase to drive scale, operational resilience and regulatory maturity.
To support this, they’re looking for an experienced contract Business Analyst to take immediate ownership of a high-impact, compliance-led Q1/Q2 roadmap while a permanent hire is secured.
Your immediate focus will be enhancing authorised user functionality, optimising onboarding and KYC journeys, reworking Terms & Conditions to enable new products, and ensuring full audit readiness.
From there, you’ll kickstart efforts to automate due dilligence, launch a unified compliance portal, enhance sanctions screening, overhaul transaction monitoring and streamline workflows through smart automation.
Key requirements for the Contract Business Analysis (Fintech)
* Proven Business Analysis or Product Ownership experience in financial services or payments
* Strong exposure to compliance themes (KYC/KYB, onboarding, transaction monitoring, tooling)
* Ability to hit the ground running, taking ownership of inflight workstreams to deliver quickly
* Comfortable driving consensus, alignment and outcomes
* Hands-on, scrappy and execution focused
* Technically literate, working closely with engineering teams
This is a 2-month initial contract based in central London £500/d (outside IR35). The interview process is a single stage, with slots confirmed for Monday 23rd and Wednesday 25th - and a view to start immediately thereafter.
