GSL Education are seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in Lancing. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pupils, helping them achieve both personal and academic growth.
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Support pupils with SEN in accessing learning and achieving their potential.
* Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils requiring additional attention.
* Assist teachers and the SENCO in implementing individual learning and behaviour plans.
* Help create a safe, structured, and supportive classroom environment.
* Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to encourage confidence, independence, and resilience.
* Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to help adapt support as needed.
* Promote an inclusive and respectful classroom culture.
Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:
* Previous experience working with pupils with SEN or additional learning needs is highly desirable.
* Patience, empathy, and a flexible approach to supporting diverse needs.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A genuine passion for helping young learners succeed.
* An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A full CV covering the last 10 years, with explanations for any gaps.
