Salary: £62,000 - 102,000 per year Requirements: We have background or experience in electrical systems engineering, either through academic study or industry experience. We have basic programming capability, such as scripting or embedded systems knowledge, which is advantageous. We have a structured and analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities. We are comfortable working both hands-on in the field and in a technical, analytical environment. We have strong communication skills and can work effectively across multidisciplinary teams. We have site and project experience, which is preferable. We understand project commercials, or we are willing to develop our knowledge in this area. We have the ability to work across a range of technologies and adapt to new systems. We are motivated to develop our expertise and progress toward a senior engineering role. Responsibilities: We support the design, specification, and deployment of monitoring systems across multiple projects. We integrate hardware and software from various suppliers into cohesive system architectures. We assist with the build, configuration, and commissioning of systems in both laboratory and field environments. We troubleshoot and resolve electrical and system-level issues to ensure reliable performance. We support the maintenance and optimisation of online data platforms to ensure accurate and timely data delivery to clients. We contribute to the development and maintenance of firmware and system interfaces linking on-site hardware to cloud-based systems. We collaborate closely with site teams, project managers, and the commercial team to deliver solutions across the full project lifecycle. We develop hands-on expertise in designing, building, and troubleshooting advanced monitoring systems. We take increasing ownership of system design and delivery as our experience grows. We support the delivery of high-profile infrastructure projects across building, rail, roads, airports, nuclear, and transmission & distribution sectors.
