The EIA Team provides high-quality support to various development types, including residential, retail, storage and distribution, renewable energy, waste facilities, utilities, and minerals.
Our EIA Coordinators are experts in their field, overseeing and managing EIAs from scheme conception to post-submission phases. Wardell Armstrong is also a registrant of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA) EIA Quality Mark, demonstrating our commitment to excellence in EIA services.
The role
Based in Birmingham within our Environment and Planning team, you will be involved in screening, scoping, and coordinating Environmental Impact Assessments, collaborating with internal and external specialists and stakeholders. Additionally, you will assist in preparing and delivering planning applications for various infrastructure and development projects. You will also support financial monitoring, budget management, and business development activities.
This is a full-time position; part-time applicants will be considered. We seek candidates with 2-8 years of experience.

About you
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in an environmental discipline, with a second degree in Environmental Impact Assessment or Environmental Management preferred but not essential. You should be motivated, organized, and communicative, with a good understanding of the UK planning system, EIA Regulations, and experience coordinating environmental assessments. Travel throughout the UK may be required.
