Overview
As a Retail Optical Assistant at Vision Express, you’ll assist our customers in finding and selecting eyewear that meets their needs. You’ll help with frame adjustments, repairs, and fittings. Additionally, you may perform some pre-screening eye examinations and administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, supporting the phone lines from customer queries and processing payments. Overall, your goal is to provide excellent customer service and ensure that our customers leave happy, with eyewear that fits properly and meets their vision needs. We are part of the EssilorLuxottica family, a leading global provider of lenses, frames and sunglasses.

Responsibilities
* Provide excellent customer service and personalise assistance to customers, addressing needs and concerns
* Build rapport and translate professional terminology into language understandable to patients
* Maintain accurate customer records, prescriptions, and requirements to inform product recommendations
* Work as part of a store team and support colleagues
* Work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment
* Inform customers about optical products and services and promote offerings to help achieve store targets
* Arrange and maintain the store appearance, keep it organized and stocked in line with store marketing guidance
