About the Role
We are excited to invite applications for the position of R&D Technician at our Portbury, Bristol location. The snacks alternatives category represents a significant growth opportunity for Kerry, and we are looking for a passionate individual to join our Snacks R&D Team.
Key Responsibilities
* Accurate Sample Preparation: Methodically prepare seasoning samples.
* Product Development: Assist in developing products from concept through trials to launch.
* Seasoning Applications: Work with various snack seasoning applications, including topical and slurry methods.
* Cross-Functional Liaison: Collaborate with teams to ensure compliance and project expectations are met.
* Stock Management: Manage raw material and base stock availability.
* Analytical Coordination: Oversee and coordinate analytical requests.
* Sensory Testing: Manage and coordinate sensory testing processes.
* Functionality Tests: Conduct functionality tests to ensure product quality.
* Project Management: Take charge of project management tasks.
* Lab Management: Ensure smooth operations within the lab environment.
Qualifications and Skills
* Education: 3rd level qualification desired but not essential.
* Experience: Background in a food manufacturing environment is desirable but not mandatory.
* Interest: A keen interest in food and nutrition.
* R&D Systems: Competence in navigating key R&D systems.
* Project Management: Strong project management skills.
* Lab Practices: Familiarity with good lab practices.
* Communication: Excellent communication skills are a must.
* Team Player: Enthusiastic and collaborative attitude.
* Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
