Overview
Raytheon UK’s Courseware and Media Development Capability (CMDC) is looking for Senior Media Leads to support media development for our training materials. The ideal candidate has a background in interactive media design for digital learning, is comfortable working within a standardised development environment, thinks creatively, is confident, excels in a collaborative team atmosphere, and is detail oriented.
Responsibilities
* Effectively managing a team of Developers and effectively managing tasks across the Media Team.
* Delegating tasks and sub-tasks within the team to leverage existing skills and develop future talent.
* Working closely with the Media Leadership team to ensure alignment across quality, output and future direction.
* Coaching and mentoring media developers and aligning development opportunities where possible.
* Promoting innovation and Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in support of team goals.
* Producing interactive media for training courses (e.g., 3D modelling, 2D/3D animation, eLearning, graphics design, 3D printing, photography and videography).
* Developing media and collateral such as storyboards in line with courseware and media development processes and standards.
* Communicating with stakeholders outside the media team to gather technical information for media requirements.
* Complying with Raytheon and Customer policies and contributing to a culture of safety and compliance.
* Travel to other sites within the UK as required by the role.
Skills and Experience
* Experience creating and developing media content with intermediate/high proficiency in 3D modelling, Unity development, and/or Adobe Creative Cloud/Articulate 360.
* Qualification in Digital Media, Graphic Design or related field at minimum QCF Level 4 or equivalent.
* Strong organizational skills; able to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
* Experience in digital learning design / instructional design.
* Ability to interpret technical and non-technical information and translate it into visual media and animations.
* Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects with deadlines.
* Effective communication with stakeholders to gather information for media requirements.
* Experience managing people and leading teams; ability to develop others.
* Experience managing projects and leading small teams to meet standards and milestones.
* Proficiency with MS Office (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint).
* Must be able to qualify for SC security clearance.
Desirable Qualifications
* Leadership & Management (ILM) or People/Learning & Development (Assoc CIPD) at QCF Level 5 (Degree) or equivalent.
* Digital Media/Graphic Design qualification at QCF Level 6 (Degree) or equivalent.
* Experience managing people and projects; experience in design/learning projects.
* Experience in developing interactive training (eLearning, multimedia).
* Experience with Adobe CC Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and Articulate 360.
* Understanding of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, WebGL.
* Knowledge of web design standards, responsive design, UI/UX.
* Understanding of Quality Assurance procedures.
