About the Role

SHPLS is seeking a Global Events Manager to own and execute the events strategy for SHP and Broadfield. Based in London, this role will serve as the primary point of contact for all event and sponsorship activity across SHP Legal Services and Broadfield Law’s offices in the UK, U.S., and Hong Kong.


This is a metrics-driven role with a mandate to generate tangible business outcomes. You will work in close partnership with Business Development teams across the portfolio to ensure events are purposeful, well-executed, and tied to measurable results. You will report to the Director of Communications and operate as a key connector across the A&M Inc. ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities


Events Strategy & Execution

* Develop and manage a global events calendar for SHP and Broadfield, encompassing client-facing events, industry conferences, webinars, hospitality events, roundtables, and select internal gatherings.
* Own end-to-end event execution, from concept and planning through logistics, vendor management, and post-event follow-up.
* Prioritize external, client-facing, and lead-generation events in alignment with business development objectives.
* Manage vendor relationships and agency partners across the UK, U.S., and Hong Kong to ensure seamless delivery across geographies.
* Oversee all event and sponsorship requests, ensuring appropriate leadership approval prior to commitment.


Sponsorships and Speaking Opportunities

* Evaluate, manage, and track sponsorship and speaker opportunities across SHP, Broadfield, and the broader A&M Inc. ecosystem.
* Develop clear criteria for sponsorship investment, ensuring alignment with brand positioning and business development priorities.
* Negotiate sponsorship agreements and manage relationships with external partners and industry organizations.
* Ensure SHP and Broadfield maximize value from event participation through activation, content, and follow-through.


Business Development Partnership

* Work closely with Business Development teams to align events and sponsorships with pipeline, departmental business plan and client engagement goals.
* Identify cross-pollination opportunities across the A&M Inc. ecosystem.
* Support BD teams in leveraging events for client acquisition, relationship deepening, and brand visibility.


Metrics & Reporting

* Establish and track clear metrics for event attendance, participation, and sponsorship, including lead generation, client opportunities, and ROI.
* Prepare post-event reports with insights and recommendations to inform future investment decisions.
* Build a data-driven events culture across SHP and Broadfield, ensuring ongoing accountability and continuous improvement.


What We’re Looking For

* Experience: 5–8 years in events management, ideally within professional services, legal, financial services, or consulting.
* Global operator: Proven ability to plan and execute events across multiple geographies, including the UK, U.S., and Asia-Pacific.
* Metrics-driven: A strong orientation toward outcomes, ROI, and business impact rather than events for their own sake.
* BD-aligned: Understanding of business development dynamics and how events can drive client engagement and revenue.
* Organized & detail-oriented: Exceptional project management skills with the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
* Collaborative: Skilled at working across teams and with senior stakeholders in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.
* Sector fluency: Familiarity with the professional services, consulting, or legal industry, and ideally exposure to the A&M Inc. ecosystem or comparable global firm.
* Software skills: Desired knowledge of Salesforce and MCAE
