Founded in 1986, Semefab produces a diverse process portfolio of semiconductor technologies. In 2009, Semefab invested £15.2 million, creating Fab2, for processing of 6" MEMS technologies and Fab3 for 6" CMOS/Bipolar technologies. Fab3 became operational in 2011. Both Fabs have completely autonomous services and facilities.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Chief Executive, Semefab are seeking to appoint their first Chief Sales Officer (CSO) to lead the company’s overall sales, business development and marketing strategy and its delivery through the international-based sales team. The development of new business opportunities and the marketing of their development and process technical capabilities are key to the company’s future success.
Team: Business Development & Marketing Manager, three Business Development Representatives
Location: Glenrothes HQ, flexibility/hybrid working to be discussed. Foundry operates a 4 ½ day working week.
Travel: Approx. one month in twelve
Key Responsibilities
This is a multi-faceted role with responsibilities and skills required across business strategy, people, financial capabilities and commercial acumen. The CSO will be expected to:
* Work effectively and professionally as an Executive of the business.
* Create and execute the commercial strategy.
* Oversee marketing initiatives to drive brand awareness and sales.
* Lead, mentor, and develop the sales team to maintain existing customers and drive new business.
* Manage all commercial aspects of customers including contract negotiations, terms & conditions, agreements and risk management.
* Collaborate with development, engineering, production and quality teams to optimise product strategy and operations.
Candidate Requirements
* Collaborative approach with a focus on continuous improvement and both customer and employee engagement.
* Proactive in resolving issues and confident in decision-making.
* Results driven, creating commercial goals for the company and sales team with the ability to complete New Product Introduction procedures.
* Presents ideas effectively through written and verbal communication.
* Clear, honest communication and the ability to build relationships at all levels.
* Diligent and detail orientated with a strong work ethic.
* Resilient and flexible in response to change, with a positive mindset.
* Senior sales experience within the Semiconductor or closely related industry.
* Degree in a STEM subject.
