Overview: We are seeking a Technical Supervisor / Manager to lead technical service delivery for a high-profile client contract in the aerospace sector, based in Broughton, Chester. This is a confidential opportunity with a global real estate and facilities management leader, offering a pivotal role in ensuring operational continuity, compliance, and service excellence.
Key Responsibilities
* Technical Leadership & Delivery: Serve as the primary technical contact for all site-based services. Lead a team of in-house technicians, promoting self-delivery of services. Oversee specialist subcontractors, ensuring full compliance with internal and client standards. Provide hands‑on technical support when required, including emergency response and cover.
* Maintenance & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities meet legislative and contractual requirements. Drive continuous improvement through Maintenance Excellence initiatives. Manage planning and scheduling of maintenance tasks via CMMS platforms.
* Operational & Financial Management: Support site leadership in budget management and cost control. Prepare quotations and deliver small project works. Identify and develop opportunities for service expansion.
* Health, Safety & Environment: Ensure full EHS compliance across all technical operations. Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions. Maintain accurate documentation and training records.
Skills & Experience
* Proven experience in a technical supervisory or management role within FM or engineering.
* Strong engineering background (electrical or mechanical preference).
* Excellent planning, organisational, and analytical capabilities.
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and documentation.
* Familiarity with PPM, reactive maintenance, and work order systems.
* Strong communication and leadership skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Desirable: Authorised Person (AP) status for Pressure Systems or Confined Spaces. EHS qualifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH). Experience with CMMS platforms (e.g., Maximo, Concept). Membership of relevant professional bodies (e.g., BIFM, IET).
