The Trust expanded and upgraded facilities at Walsall Manor Hospital, including a Critical Care Unit, Neonatal Unit, Obstetric Theatre, Integrated Assessment Unit, and a new Urgent and Emergency Care Centre opened in March 2023 to improve emergency care capacity.
We deliver high quality, friendly and effective community health services from multiple sites. Our multidisciplinary teams provide rapid response and home-based care to help people with long-term conditions and the frail elderly remain in their own homes.
We are committed to investing in our workforce and value teamwork, respect, compassion and professionalism. Following a recent CQC inspection, the Trust was rated outstanding for care, a recognition acknowledged by NHS Improvement.
The work we do is highly rewarding. In addition to an attractive salary, we offer a valuable range of benefits, including salary sacrifice schemes, car leasing, on-site staff accommodation (subject to availability), and the option to retain the NHS pension (where applicable) or join an alternative scheme. The Trust supports staff in developing and implementing their expertise in a challenging yet encouraging environment.
We welcome applications from people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic backgrounds and from people with a disability; these groups are under-represented at senior levels. We value diversity and are committed to equality in recruitment.
COVID-19 vaccination remains a key protection for staff, patients and colleagues. While vaccination is not a condition of employment at this time, staff are encouraged to get vaccinated. We will check vaccination status for new starters to manage individual and environmental risks. Further information on vaccination is available via publicly accessible services.
