Reporting directly to the Deputy Estates Manager (Core), this is a critical leadership role, ensuring statutory compliance, operational excellence, and the highest standard of engineering services. You’ll oversee both in-house and subcontracted teams, manage high-voltage/low-voltage systems, support PFI contract compliance, and serve as a key point of contact for the NHS Trust. What You'll Do: Lead a team of electrical engineers delivering compliant, safe, and responsive building services. Act as Authorised Person (LV/HV/Lifts), managing safety-critical systems (e.g. IPS, UPS). Ensure full compliance with HTMs, the Electricity at Work Act, IET Wiring Regulations, and CDM. Liaise with internal Sodexo teams, SPV stakeholders, and NHS Trust representatives. Drive technical performance, complete risk assessments, and manage audits and reports. Oversee contractor performance and supply chain efficiency. Use CAFM systems (e.g. Maximo) to monitor and optimise asset management. Participate in out-of-hours emergency response rotas and permit-to-work systems. What You Bring: Essential HNC/HND or equivalent in Electrical Engineering. City & Guilds Electrical qualifications. Extensive experience in acute hospital settings. Qualified as Authorised Person (LV, HV, and Lifts). Strong understanding of HTM compliance, particularly HTM06 and HTM08. Skilled in BMS, complex electrical systems, and healthcare infrastructure. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Competency in Microsoft Office and digital FM systems. Desirable Experience in PFI contracts and healthcare estates management. Knowledge of CDM regulations. Familiarity with Maximo CAFM platform.
