Overview
Great Oaks College is a specialist independent college which is currently open to students across two sites.
The college provides further educational opportunities to students aged 19-25 with moderate, severe and profound and multiple learning difficulties, many of whom also have other needs such as physical disabilities, sensory impairments and autism. We run three Pathways: Vocational, Life and Living and Engagement for Life.
The Life and Living Pathway is located at the Triangle in Hounslow, Engagement for Life and Vocational Departments is located at the Windmill, Sunbury on Thames (the main College address).
Role Overview
We are looking to appoint a qualified, and experienced therapist to provide an onsite occupational therapy service for our students and to work alongside the head of therapy to support and develop this provision.
The ideal candidate will have 2 years of experience of working in a specialist school or college for young adults who have very complex needs including PMLD, SLD, and autism.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enhancing our students’ educational experiences by addressing their sensory, motor, and functional needs. This position involves working closely with educators, therapists, families, and external agencies to develop and implement individualised therapy programmes.

Contract Type: Permanent, term time plus 2 weeks in the summer holidays (total of 41 weeks which is 0.91223 fte)
Hours of work: 36h per week, Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm
Pay Scale: Competitive Inner London Pay Scale matching NHS HCAS Inner Bands 5 (£37,259)-7 (£63,176) and up for negotiation.
