We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Residential Support Worker to join a lovely children's service in Lymington. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing assistance to children with learning disabilities, including ensuring their well-being and promoting their independence. This position requires effective communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a willingness to engage with children in a supportive manner. Responsibilities * Provide direct support to children and individuals, assisting with daily activities and personal care. * Develop and implement care plans tailored to the individual needs of each child or client. * Communicate effectively with children, families, and other professionals to ensure a cohesive approach to care. * Assist with educational activities and encourage participation in social interactions. * Maintain accurate records of progress and any changes in behaviour or health. * Accompany the children on trips and leisure activities * Work with team members to enhance the quality of care provided. Qualifications * Previous experience working with children or in childcare settings is highly desirable. * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for this role. * Familiarity with IT systems for record keeping and reporting is an advantage. * Ability to develop and follow care plans effectively. * A compassionate approach towards supporting individuals in their daily lives is crucial.
