Day-to-day of the role: Provide a safe, nurturing classroom environment that supports students as learners. Plan, resource, and deliver stimulating and enjoyable lessons for primary aged students. Supervise Teaching Assistants within the classroom to enhance educational delivery. Offer quality feedback to students to foster rapid and sustained progress. Contribute to the development of literacy skills across the school. Maintain high standards of behaviour and learning in collaboration with the Deputy Head of Teaching and Learning. Engage in regular assessments to monitor progress, set targets, and implement necessary interventions. Maintain effective communication with parents regarding progress, disciplinary actions, and other relevant information. Ensure accurate student data management to enhance teaching effectiveness. Support school management in promoting a positive educational culture and implementing change. Required Skills & Qualifications: Qualified Teaching Status. Experience in teaching young people aged between 7-111. Experience working with children with special educational needs. Knowledge of the KS1 - KS2 National Curriculum. Effective lesson planning and behaviour management skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a team. Highly skilled in delivering diverse teaching strategies. Experience of organising and running extra-curricular activities (Desirable). A knowledge and understanding of Steiner Waldorf curriculum and ethos (Desirable). ICT competent (Desirable).
