Pay: £27,040 - £29,120 pa for 40 hour week

Training: Train FLT for perm with warehouse yard work where required
Job description
Seeking a reliable 7.5t Lorry Driver to join our small team. The successful candidate will hold a licence for 7.5t lorry with CPC, be able to secure the load themselves and be willing to load the vehicle using a forklift. (training supplied).
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm with no overnights. Overtime (1.5x pay) is encouraged and early start times are required during our busy period. Twice annual discretionary bonus dependent on personal and company performance. Training will be provided where necessary. The successful applicant will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations.
Duties Include
* Operate lorries in a safe and responsible manner, ensuring compliance with all traffic laws and regulations
* Load and unload goods, ensuring that they are secured properly for transport using ropes and straps
* Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any mechanical issues as necessary
* Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation for each trip
* Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays
* Ensure that the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained at all times
* Assist in warehouse duties as required, including inventory management and stock replenishment
Experience & Qualifications
* Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role
* Valid commercial driving licence (CDL) is essential
* Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
* Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers
