Essential criteria: · 1 year experience working on a dairy farm NOTE - You will work directly for the farm, not through REAL Success. Our Farm We are a high-yielding, family farm covering 1200 acres. Our 900 Holstein all-year-round calving flying herd yields 12,000 litres. We milk three times a day using a GEA 50-point rotary parlour with Northern Dairy Teatwand and brush. Our milk is supplied on an Arla 360 contract. Our cows are housed all year round, and we have a team of 15 full-time staff, with additional support provided by a night team. Your Role As a Milker, you will work closely with the herd. Roles and responsibilities include: - Milking to a high and consistent standard, ensuring the parlour is kept clean and safe to operate. - Ensuring animal health & welfare is the top priority. - Identify illnesses such as mastitis and inform the senior team of any observations. - Keeping the parlour clean and safe to operate - Dairy herd record keeping and data reporting - Always adhering to health & safety regulations - Supporting other farm tasks if required Requirements You The successful candidate will: - Hold a full UK Driving license is required for this role. - Have 1 year experience working with dairy cows - Have a genuine interest in livestock and dairy farming - Be a positive, team-focused attitude - Posses good attention to detail and a calm, confident approach around animals - Display willingness to work early mornings, weekends, and bank holidays on a rota.
